Joe McBeain, CRNA, is a retired U.S. Navy Nurse Anesthesiologist who returned home to Colorado following his military retirement to continue providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients across the Western Slope. He earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University, graduating magna cum laude. He completed his anesthesia training at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, followed by a fellowship in Advanced Pain Management at Texas Christian University.
During his Navy career, Joe provided anesthesia care in a wide range of high-acuity settings, including serving as the sole anesthesia provider for a mobile resuscitative surgical team and supporting a 5,000+-person Amphibious Readiness Group across multiple operating rooms on three vessels. He also deployed internationally, caring for military personnel, international sailors, and local communities abroad. Joe is board-certified in advanced and non-surgical pain management and currently serves as a Director-at-Large for the Colorado Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists.

When he’s not working, Joe enjoys spending time with his family—especially his seven grandchildren—as well as mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, running, and reading.
